Between Købmagergade and Pilestræde, close to the Round Tower and Trinitatis Church, a series of historic buildings has been transformed into a mixed-use complex with hotel, retail, and housing.
At its core, we have formed The Secret Garden—a courtyard, a wellness terrace, and a backyard for residents.

Across the courtyard, yellow and brown brick pavers are laid as a continuous surface. The pattern defines the space and gives it a distinct identity. It is read both underfoot and from the surrounding buildings.

Planting beds with shrubs and perennials move through the courtyard. They shape spaces for rest, retreat, and gathering. Smaller, more private zones emerge from their form.

Raised beds are planted with a range of shrubs, ensuring variation throughout the year. Boxwood is the only clipped element. It introduces contrast and holds the composition. In a larger seating area, a circular herb garden adds scent and use.

Alongside the courtyard, a wellness terrace extends the landscape. Green surfaces are kept close to areas of stay. Climbing plants work their way up the walls, drawing the landscape vertically. A quiet counterpoint to the weight of the existing buildings.
